Western Pacific Operations Officer

  • Responsible for Naval Construction Force current and future construction operations for 3 subordinate Task Units in 14 foreign locations executing Commander, US Navy 7th Fleet and III Marine Expeditionary Force engineering priorities within 1st Island Chain.
  • Identify engineering requirements working with supported commanders, assist in all planning evolutions to include design, funding, permitting and land use agreements, and diplomatic agreements, and track overall construction execution when assigned to subordinate units.
  • Integrate joint and allied engineering forces to provide Expeditionary Construction, Vertical and Horizontal Construction, and Airfield/Port Damage Repair in simulated conflict environments.

Officer-in-Charge/Assistant Operations Officer

  • Led 60 Seabees deployed throughout CENTCOM Area of Operations. Oversaw construction of three projects for replacement of deteriorated bunkers protecting personnel from aerial bombardment, horizontal paving supporting air defense artillery command, and landing craft air cushion (LCAC) pad all totaling $2.1M. Managed and refreshed critical $8M tools and equipment table of allowance. Additionally, rapidly established and maintained facilities to process 8,200 Afghan evacuees during Operation Allies Refuge in support of U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.
  • As assistant operations officer, oversaw manning and tasking of a 600 person battalion upon their reintegration after deployment and lead up to critical certification exercises.

Key projects include complete renovation of two barracks facilities, multi-phased road repaving and culvert installation supporting over 30% of entire installation personnel, multiple metal roofing replacements following Hurricane Florence, and building of the Naval Dental Clinic.
  • Emergency operations center watch for immediate recovery efforts following Hurricane Florence for route clearance, debris removal, and utilities restoration.
